Sam has been involved in the wine industry for over 10 years and has spent a great deal of this time developing the wine export business, particularly in Asia. Sam has travelled extensively and makes it the utmost priority to develop successful long term relationships with the people he works with. Sam's role is multifaceted involving sourcing, blending, production, sales, marketing, logistics, to all general management areas within this ultra dynamic company.

Tim Whitrow - Chief Winemaker

Lavina's chief winemaker, Mr Tim Whitrow, has been handcrafting wine for over 14 years in Australia and Europe. Tim has won awards globally for producing wines harmonized with fruit complexity, structure and elegance.

Robin Moody - Executive Company Wine Consultant

Lavina's executive company wine consultant Mr Robin Moody began working at Penfolds as assistant to Max Schubert of Grange Hermitage fame in 1969. He went on to become senior winemaker at Penfolds, Wynns and Southcorp. He now runs his own wine consultancy, and travels to Asia regularly.

Ruth Wallace brings over 20 years experience in the Finance and Administration areas of the McLaren Vale wine industry to her position at Lavina Wines. With an understanding of packaging and export requirements she is also able to provide assistance to the other members of the company. Supporting the development of close, long term relationships with Lavina clients and suppliers is a vital part of her position.

Victoria has completed a Diploma in Wine Marketing from The University of Adelaide. Victoria is responsible for assisting Sarah with the export dynamics and all governance involved in the business. She also has an excellent palate and assists with blending wine and decision making. Victoria has travelled to Asia and China and has also established close relationships with our clients.
